Safari Lodge is a five star graded romantic thatched lodge with luxury safari huts inspired by African tribal design. The Safari Lodge is tucked away in a valley of indigenous bush at the northern boundary of the 7000 hectare Amakhala Game Reserve. This romantic thatched lodge is owned and managed by Mike and Justine Weeks.

Each lodge within Amakhala contributes to a collective fund for education and uplifts their staff through training. The collective focuses strongly on HIV/Aids by investing time and financial resources to support an orphanage and by facilitating staff education as well as voluntary counselling and testing. The lodges also support community-based suppliers including a sewing business and candle making business in set up process.
