Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel is situated in Long Street, Cape Town. This unique small hotel promotes local music and art throughout its operations, and is seriously committed to empowering its staff. The hotel has also instituted a number of environmental management systems focusing on energy, water and waste, and a new eco-friendly room will soon be available to guests.
Daddy Long Legs is seriously committed to staff training and development, supporting small businesses and reducing its environmental footprint. In addition, Daddy Long Legs mobilizes donations from guests for a 4x4 Ambulance Project to assist an isolated rural community at Bulungula in the Eastern Cape, who would otherwise not have access to emergency services due to poor transportation infrastructure.
Commenting on the value of the FTTSA assessment and certification process, Daddy Long Legs’ General Manager Sergio Dreyer stated, “It was an enlightening and truly inspiring journey that helped us become a more sustainable business. Going forward, we will continue to strive to improve as a fair trade establishment and implement this model in our other establishments and all future endeavours”.
