A unique combination of warmth, luxury and wild African beauty makes Djuma Game Reserve unlike any other place in the world. Djuma - meaning "roar of the lion" in Shangaan - is set in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, part of the greater Kruger National Park. Djuma's staff strive to show their guests the magic of Africa by leaving its natural beauty untouched while strengthening and showcasing its dynamic cultural complexity.

As well as offering exceptional service in a breathtaking setting, Djuma has shown a consistent commitment to promoting community development and poverty alleviation. This is evident in the many programmes Djuma has developed that champion local socio-economic development, such as its support to Buffelshoek Education Trust in building two local primary schools and a media training centre for disadvantaged communities.

Projects like the N'wa Tumberi Day Care Centre are an inspiration to see and showcase how the Djuma and Shangaan communities reach across to one another, realising their shared vision - to conserve the land for future generations, in a way that benefits the wider community.

Djuma has excelled in creating a workplace culture based on mutual respect and recognition of individual initiative and excellence. The Djuma team has demonstrated that fairness, ethical business practice and environmental respect form a strong basis for sustainable tourism. At Djuma, guests can experience an authentic safari drive and see the big five in their natural environment while staying at one of three luxury game lodges.

VUYATELA LODGE
The 5-star Vuyatela Lodge is a confirmation of the vibrant new South Africa and its ancient roots in the past. The architectural style of Vuyatela was inspired by local building techniques, which range from thatch huts to innovative modern interpretations. The 4-star Bush Lodge is a luxurious family lodge offering magnificient views of the surrounding African veldt. At 4-star Galago Camp, guests can relax on the large viewing deck or around the swimming pool. The pool has a view of the water hole and nothing beats wallowing in the cool pool whilst watching elephants do the same.

GALAGO CAMP:
Named for the "lesser bushbaby" in Latin, is a self catering safari camp offering families or small groups the use of the entire camp with total exclusivity. Accommodation is in five colonial-style bedrooms. Galago has expansive views including waterholes.

Guests can relax on the large viewing deck or around the swimming pool. The pool has a view of the water-hole and nothing beats wallowing in the cool pool whilst watching elephants do the same.

A personal guide, tracker and Land Rover vehicle are on hand for your exclusive private safari. The animals that can be seen include the 'Big Five'.

Galago has 5 en-suite bedrooms, again with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Rates include accommodation, 2 game drives daily and a bush walk. The camp is fully serviced, and has a catering by arrangement system, to allow guests complete flexibility. Guests bring all their own drinks (soft and alcoholic) and food and prepare their meals themselves. Children are welcome. Galago is serviced twice daily.

Galago Camp offers families, groups of friends, specialist wildlife groups and corporate incentive or work groups an opportunity to make use of the entire camp, with total exclusivity. Catering and bar by arrangement, offering a very flexible venue.

The camp is built in a semicircle with a central courtyard. The camp fire in the courtyard creates an intimate, cosy atmosphere.
