Moratiwa Tours’ “Soweto Fair Tourism Tour” is a 5 hour tour through Soweto, including visits to a number of community projects and Heritage Sites. The tour also incorporates a bicycle tour component operated by Lebo’s Soweto Bicycle Tours (also FTTSA-certified) – a mutually-beneficial partnership that has been developed between these two responsibly-operated businesses.

The tour introduces visitors to popular attractions in Soweto including a visit to the renowned Vilakazi street where one can the houses of ex President Nelson Mandela and that of Bishop Desmond Tutu. We also visit the Hector Pietersen museum, a day care centre and either the Handiworx Project or the Soweto Green. The use of bicycles rather than a tour vehicle reduces carbon emissions which in turn impacts positively on the community and environment. Moratiwa Tours is also engaged in various uplifting community projects including clothing assistance for Nomzamo Informal Settlement. The tour includes lunch and a taste of the local brew!
