Lesheba Wilderness
Lesheba Wilderness, situated at the top of the Soutpansberg Mountains, in the heart of old Venda. The lodge is an authentic Venda village re-created by internationally renowned artist, Noria Mabasa and situated in a spectacular amphitheatre of high cliffs and mountains with magnificent views through the gorge. Lesheba is a champion of community development and a supporter of the preservation of the rich culture and heritage of the area through its Centre of Indigenous Knowledge. The business supports a range of cultural industries including wood carving, story telling and traditional healing. Lesheba is deeply committed to biodiversity conservation and is a driving force behind a local bio-sphere initiative. A new project is underway to enable local small-scale farmers to supply fresh produce to the lodge. Ongoing staff training and consultative management practices form the basis for a positive workplace culture that is empowering to all staff.
