UNICEF, in cooperation with the Government of South Africa, civil society and private sector partners, has implemented a comprehensive plan aimed at enhancing protection of the most vulnerable children, especially those who may be unattended or separated from their caregivers during the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. The plan includes four child friendly spaces at FIFA Fan Fests, 21 community sports festivals and the Red Card communication campaign.
