Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa’s (FTTSA) RED CARD CAMPAIGN CONTEST!

Have you been creative with your Red Card campaign collateral? Are you handy with a camera? Would you like to win a prize for your work with the Red Card campaign? Then participate in Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa’s (FTTSA) RED CARD CAMPAIGN CONTEST! By now you should have received your Red Card campaign collateral and hopefully you have been able to distribute the collateral to staff, customers, suppliers and community members. To recognize your efforts and stimulate sharing of best practice, FTTSA will award prizes to three companies who best demonstrate how to use Red Card campaign materials in a tourism environment.

The contest rules are:
1. Submit: 1) multiple photos of Red Card campaign collateral being displayed, used and distributed and 2) a paragraph describing how the collateral is being used and distributed, and to whom. Submit this info to darla@fairtourismsa.org.za by Friday, 16 July 2010.
2. The three winners will be determined by judging the submission based on the most creative and widespread uses of the Red Card campaign collateral.
3. The three winners will be determined by a distinguished panel of FTTSA judges.

We will feature the top three winners in our FTTSA Newsflash and the three winners will also receive the following PRIZES thanks to our generous donors:

First Prize:
SATIB has generously donated one full page, full colour advert in the SATSA Tourism Tattler Trade Journal, valued at R17,666 for the May 2011 edition (the one that goes to Indaba). This does not include design fee. For more information visit Tourism Tattler.

Second Prize:
1) One year’s free membership with FEDHASA, a minimum value of R3, 000 (dependent on the size of your establishment. For more information and to find out who can join, please visit FEDHASA).
2) Fused has donated the following prize: Domain Name Registration (R313 value), Basic Website Design (R3,990 value), Website hosting for one year (R1,299 value) worth a total value of R 5,603. For more information visit FUSED.

Third Prize:
Southern Africa Tourism Update Online donated a daily news e-mail Big Button for the month of September 2010 valued at R6, 527. This includes the cost of in-house banner design. For more information, go to Tourism Update Online.

FTTSA is writing articles about how the Red Card campaign collateral is being used by businesses and it would be great to use some of your photos and feature your businesses in some articles. Please note that all photos and narratives submitted will become the property of Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa to be used to promote the Red Card campaign.
